Municipal Watersports Centre - Dublin Docklands
Located in the heart of the Docklands, the Dublin Municipal Water Sports Centre is a contemporary civic building designed with clarity, durability and public accessibility in mind. As part of the external architectural detailing, permanent signage was integrated directly into the concrete façade.
We were commissioned to sandblast the building signage into the face of the concrete, producing clean, precise lettering without the use of applied paint or surface finishes. The engraving depth was carefully controlled so that natural light and shadow create sufficient contrast, ensuring the text remains clearly legible in changing conditions while maintaining the building’s minimalist aesthetic.
The signage was engraved in both Irish and English, reflecting the civic nature of the building and its role within the city. By working directly into the concrete surface, the lettering becomes a permanent part of the architecture — robust, maintenance-free and resistant to weathering or wear.
This project demonstrates how sandblasted concrete engraving can deliver understated, durable signage for public buildings, where longevity, legibility and architectural integration are essential.
Trinity Wharf - Wexford
The Trinity Wharf development occupies a prominent waterfront location in Wexford, combining contemporary architecture with carefully detailed public and private spaces. As a key point of arrival, the entrance signage was designed to be both durable and visually refined, reflecting the quality of the overall scheme.
We were commissioned to produce the entrance signs featuring raised granite lettering, creating a strong architectural identity at street level. Each letter was cut using CNC technology, ensuring precise geometry, clean edges and consistency across the installation.
The use of solid granite provides permanence and longevity, while the raised lettering adds depth and shadow, allowing the signage to read clearly in changing light conditions. The finished signs integrate seamlessly with the building fabric, delivering a robust and understated solution suited to a busy waterfront environment.
This project demonstrates the effectiveness of CNC-cut stone lettering for contemporary developments, combining modern production techniques with the timeless quality of natural stone.
Stardust Memorial Park - Coolock, Dublin
The Stardust Memorial Park is a place of remembrance, reflection and dignity, created to honour the victims of the Stardust tragedy and to provide a peaceful public space for families, survivors and the wider community. Located in Coolock, the park has been thoughtfully designed as a permanent memorial within the local neighbourhood.
We were honoured to be engaged by Dublin City Council to contribute to this important project. Our role involved the engraving of stone benches within the memorial park, forming part of the seating and contemplative elements throughout the space.
Although our contribution was a small part of a much larger and deeply meaningful project, it was a privilege to assist in delivering work of such significance. Each engraved bench was produced with care and precision, respecting the solemn nature of the site and the importance it holds for those who visit.
This project stands as a reminder that even the most modest elements of public-realm stonework can carry profound emotional weight. We are grateful to have played a role, however small, in the creation of a place dedicated to remembrance, reflection and collective memory.
Control Tower - Dublin Airport
Engraved floor tiles
We engraved a series of bespoke messages and symbols directly into floating porcelain floor tiles within the Dublin Airport Control Tower. The engravings combine text and iconography, including Irish-language elements, and are finished with a 2k paint. This approach delivers subtle and durable internal signage, seamlessly integrated into a high-traffic, critical operational environment.
