Chelsea Waterfront — London
Situated on the north bank of the Thames, the Chelsea Waterfront / Lots Road redevelopment is one of London’s most prominent riverside regeneration projects — transforming the historic Lots Road Power Station site into a vibrant mix of homes, public spaces and landscaped walkways. The development blends contemporary architecture with high-quality materials to create a refined, highly detailed public realm.
For this project, we were commissioned to fabricate engraved and brass-inlaid stonework for the new riverside landscape. Working with granite paving, our team engraved precision-cut text and directional linework before inlaying each element with solid brass, creating durable, elegant features designed to complement the development’s premium aesthetic.
The combination of deep engraving and hand-finished brass inlay ensures long-term durability in a busy pedestrian environment while adding distinct visual detail to the public spaces. This work contributes to the project’s wider goal: delivering a public realm that feels crafted, timeless and truly connected to the site’s heritage. Central to the scheme is the integration of “The Drift” — a specially commissioned poem by Simon Armitage, Poet Laureate

Compass Rose —
Donegall Quay, Belfast
Located along the River Lagan at Donegall Quay, this project forms part of Belfast’s revitalised waterfront — a key gateway connecting the city centre with the river’s edge. The area has undergone significant redevelopment in recent years, creating a vibrant public realm used by residents, visitors and commuters.
At the heart of the paved promenade sits a granite compass rose, designed to act as both a navigational motif and a focal point within the landscape. We were commissioned to fabricate and install the compass design using engraved granite slabs inlaid with solid brass, bringing a warm metallic contrast to the surrounding stonework.
Each directional point and radial line was carved with precision before being individually inlaid and finished by hand, ensuring exceptional durability in an exposed, high-footfall riverside environment. The completed feature serves as a subtle landmark within the quayside scheme — a functional, enduring and visually striking piece of public-realm craftsmanship.
Hotel Gotham, Newcastle
Located in the heart of Newcastle, Hotel Gotham brings its unmistakable blend of luxury and bold visual identity to the city. To support this distinctive branding, the hotel required a high-quality, permanent feature that would make an immediate impression on arrival.
We were commissioned to produce a bespoke granite inlay featuring the hotel’s signature “G” logo. Using our advanced CNC machining, we precisely cut both the black granite insert and the grey granite base to ensure an exact, seamless fit. The black granite was then inlaid into the grey, creating sharp definition, clean geometry and a refined contrast between the two stones.
The result is a durable, high-impact entrance feature that reflects the hotel’s premium character and showcases the precision achievable through CNC-engineered stone-in-stone inlay work.

Emily Square, Athy
As part of the wider regeneration of Emily Square in Athy, the town’s historic centre has been transformed into a welcoming public space that celebrates local character and the River Barrow, which has shaped the town for centuries. The redesign introduced high-quality paving, improved pedestrian movement and a central feature that anchors the square both visually and geographically.
We were commissioned to create the square’s 40-metre-long centrepiece, a bespoke stone installation that forms a continuous linear artwork through the heart of the space. Using Irish limestone, we engraved and inlaid stainless steel lettering to form names, references and interpretive elements embedded directly into the paving.
Running the full length of the feature is a sandblasted and carved outline of the River Barrow, carefully designed to contrast in texture and tone against the surrounding flamed finish stone. To emphasise the river’s journey, each lough along the Barrow is marked with an individual spotlight, creating a subtle illuminated trail that comes alive after dark.
The finished installation is both functional and symbolic — a durable, contemporary artwork that connects the materiality of the square to the landscape and heritage of Athy.
